EL-CID is the right blend of different organic acids. provides synergistic action to control the pathogen load by reducing the pH otdn'nking waterand gut.
EL-CID controls and prevents contamination of drinking water and the gut.
The effectiveness of organic acids depends on their ability to reduce pH and to dissociate, which is determined by
the pK-value. Hence the mixture of organic acids are commonly used for more effectiveness.

Acidification In Animal Nutrition
The main causes for losses in animal production are due to diseases of the digestive tract. a high mortality and an unsatisfactory growth performance. The bacterial infections of the gut are the effects of a low tolerance against pathogens and stress and therefore low utilisation of the nutrients in the feed.
The application of organic acids and their salts in the feed are the solutions to these problems. While organic acids are preservatives and are used as such there is also a high interest in their nutritive value. The organic acids may improve the performance and health in livestock as per observed in many studies.
Mode of Action of EL-CID
The reduction in the pH gives more strength to acids to fight against pathogens.
The acid enters the cell so acid gets dissociated. Finally, pH drops and the energy is expended to maintain the pH balance. Hence, DNA synthesis is interfered by anion. Thus disruption of protein synthesis occurs.
The EL-CID can also be used as a highly available calcium source and lime can be taken out of the diets, thereby allowing a reduction of the buffering capacity in the feed. A low buffering wpacity in the feed is closely related to better daily gain. a better feed conversion and better health.
A special blend of free and micro-encapsulated components in EL-ClD allows for a continuous release of active ingredients throughout the intestinal tract.
Mode of Action of oLganic acids against pathogens

Active Ingredients
EL-ClD is the right blend of different organic acids. The blend was developed to ensure the best possible balance between the different properties of the respective acids.
- Lactic Acid
- Formic Acid
- Citirc Acid
- Fumaric Acid
- Sodium Citrate
- Essential Oil
Formic acid lowers pH and has high efficacy against Salmonella. Lactic acid is effective against E. Coli and enhances palatabilily. Phosphoric acid reduces pH.
Essential oils enhance palatability and improve efficacy of the organic acids against pathogens.
Citric acid acts as a chelating agents to chelate excess metal ions.
Sodium citrate provides extended activity.
Unique Properties of EL-CID
The strong antibacterial activity against pathogens that may cause diarrhea such as E. Coli and Salmonella helps to improve the status of the flock.
EL-CID Improves teed hygiene against pathogens and reduces digestive disorders in your animals. It allows for a marked reduction of the buffering capacity in the feed and stabilises the pH in the gastro intestinal tract.
Benefits
- Promotes normal gut flora & enhances gut therapy
- Antimicrobial effects (Salmonella. E.Coli)
- Promotes digestion and nutrient absorption.
- Improves performance & productivity
